Bicycle Friendly Greece, the organizing company behind The Gravel of Marathon, is also the owner of MBike, which is the largest cycling communication platform in Greece since 1999 and organizer of the Athens Bike Festival since 2010. Drawing on years of experience in events, media and community-building, the organization brings a long-standing commitment to promoting cycling culture in Greece.
For this project, the MBike team joined forces with some of the most respected figures in cycling, both in Greece and across Europe. The goal was to shape an event that delivers a truly distinctive experience for every participant — an event that highlights the beauty and history of Marathon while pushing gravel cycling in Greece to a new level.
With this collaboration, The Gravel of Marathon becomes more than a race. It is part of a broader effort to support the growth of cycling in the country, to introduce new riders to the discipline, and to showcase Greece as a destination for world-class cycling events.
